Trip Itinerary

Tuesday (Dec 31) *New Year's Eve

  • Go to Nozawa Onsen by own means of transportation (car or shinkansen)
  • Leave belongings in the lodge
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding until 5pm
  • Visit one of the FREE or PAID onsens
  • Relax at the lodge/have some drinks
  • Dinner at 6pm
  • Group party at the Craft Room until 11:30pm
  • Watch the fireworks display at Nagasaka ski area
  • Bar hopping until you drop

Wednesday-Saturday (Jan 1-4)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding until 5pm
  • Visit one of the FREE or PAID onsens
  • Relax at the lodge/have some drinks
  • Dinner at 6pm
  • Group drinks at one of the local bars

Saturday (Jan 5)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding until whenever you want
  • Visit one of the FREE public onsens or the nice PAID ones
  • Go back to Tokyo anytime you want

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Transportation to/from Tokyo/Nozawa Onsen is not included.
  • Ski/snowboarding off-piste is strictly prohibited.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able join.
  • Rooms can be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 persons for shared rooms.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of (4) friends can have their own room.
  • Private room for 2 persons available for an extra fee (12,000yen/person for 8 nights) on a first-come/first-served basis.
  • The lodge is about 10-12mins walk to Nagasaka gondola.
  • Restaurants and shops in the ski resorts don't accept credit cards so please bring enough cash.
  • Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • Free snowboarding (only) lesson is on Sunday (Dec 29) from 9:30am until 12pm.
  • You don't need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you're a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a "ride ticket" which costs around 300-350yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!
  • We will try to accommodate all dietary requirements. However, we are unable to guarantee the hotel/lodge can cater for every meal.
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • Towels available for rent at the lodge for 200yen.
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request
  • Check-in on Dec 31 is from 3pm.
  • You must check out of your room before 10am on Jan 5 (Sun), and put your belongings in the luggage room before going ski/snowboarding.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
