Tokyo Gaijins Tennis Club

Tokyo Gaijins regularly organize casual tennis sessions on weekends and at night during the week at Shibaura Chuokoen, Azabu and Aoyama Sports Fields, all in Minato-ku area. We have a total of around 850 members on the tennis mailing list so far and most of them are foreigners from all over the globe and only about 10% are Japanese. We normally play doubles but sometimes singles too depend on the no. of players that will show up. We also have fun and competitive games to accommodate all different level of players. How to join:

• Read the membership, rules and guidelines carefully • Fill-up the membership form • Join the mailing list • Receive the tennis sessions schedule by email from the organizer • Read/follow carefully the instructions on the email • SIGN-UP by replying to the email w/ your name and cellphone no. • Wait for an email confirmation • Show up in your tennis attire w/ your racket (if you get a confirmation) • Pay the fee to the person in-charge before the game • Play and have fun (note: tennis balls are provided/we can rent you racket for 500yen)

Rules and guidelines:

• Maximum of 6-players each sessions • RSVP by email is strictly required • Make sure to get a confirmation email • If you are confirmed to play but want to cancel, you must do so before 8pm the day before the session to avoid paying a 100% cancellation fee • You can also sign-up even on the day if there's still spot available • The session will be cancelled "WITH NOTICE" an hour before the game (or earlier) if its raining • You must provide your cellphone so we can contact you in case we cancel the session • No phone call means the game is ON • Its hard for us to know what level suits you until we see you play so if you're not sure about your tennis skill level, please come and watch first • Smoking, eating & drinking alcoholic beverage are prohibited • No fighting or use of abusive words towards other players and unnacceptable behaviours • The organizer and the person in-charge of the game reserves the right to cancel or reject your membership at anytime if you violate these guidelines

Fee:

• The fee is 3,000yen per person each session and its collected on the court by the person in-charge before the start of the session • The amount collected goes to pay for the court rent, team registration, tennis balls, transportation allowance, services rendered by the organizer, the person in-charge of the game, the person that books the court and other miscellaneous expenses
