Tokyo Gaijins Tennis Club

• Tokyo Gaijins regularly organize casual tennis sessions on weekends and at night during the week at Shibaura Chuo koen Sports Field, Azabu Sports Field and Aoyama Sports Field, all in Minato-ku area. We have a total of around 350 members on the tennis mailing list so far and most of them are foreigners from all over the globe and only about 10% are Japanese. We play singles and doubles and we also have fun and competitive games to accommodate all different level of players. Want to play for laughs, some good workout, meet new people and make new friends? Come play tennis with us!

How to join:

• Read the membership, rules and guidelines carefully • Join the mailing list • Receive the "official session schedule" by email from the organizer • Read/follow carefully the instructions on the email • SIGN-UP ASAP by email not by phone please (most of the session get fully-booked quickly) • Pay the fee to the person in-charge before the game • Play and have fun (Note: Please bring your own racket! Rental is available for 500yen!)

Rules and guidelines:

• Maximum of 8-players for fun level and 8-players for competitive level sessions • The session will be automatically cancelled w/o prior notice if its raining an hour before the game • Smoking, eating & drinking alcoholic beverage are prohibited • No fighting or use of abusive words towards other players and unnacceptable behaviours • The organizer and the person in-charge of the game reserves the right to cancel or reject your membership at anytime if you violate these guidelines

Fee:

• The fee vary depend on the schedule, level and the no. of players but it is between 2000yen~3,000yen, no more, no less. It is collected on the court by the person in-charge before the start of the session • The amount collected goes to pay for the court rent, team registration, transportation allowance, services rendered by the organizer, the person in-charge of the game, the person that books the court and other miscellaneous expenses • After signing-up on a session, you can cancel the day before but there's a 100% cancellation fee if you cancel on the day

Player's level guidelines:

• Beginners level; lower intermediate & beginner level players only!
• Advanced level; upper intermediate & advanced level players only!
• Competitive level; advanced & competitive level players only!
